Need some reasons to pray over SHOCKWAVE? Check out some of the answers to prayer we’ve seen since SHOCKWAVE last year!
- Thousands of you prayed for 16-year-old Maria Muhammed in Iraq last year. Maria was imprisoned for stabbing her uncle in self-defence. He was attacking her, her mother and her little brother. She was released early a couple of months ago and is now back with her family.
- A teenager in China, aged 18, used to receive threatening text messages from his mum when he became a Christian. She is a Buddhist and a member of the Communist party. He disgraced his whole family and village by becoming a Christian. His grandma, grandpa and mum have just become Christians!
- The situation for Christians in Sudan has improved. Since a peace agreement in 2005, Christians have been more free to express their beliefs, especially in the South.
You can make a difference. Will you join us to pray wherever you are, sometime over 6-8 March? Check out the Takeaway area for creative ideas on how to get praying!
And don’t forget to upload your photo of your time, meeting or event during Shockwave on our live gallery over 6-8 March.

I always feel that touch of God’s joy on the tongue as I pray for both persecuted and persecutors.
It’s a privilege to be able to pray for God’s Almighty Presence to be in their midst and to pray that their persecutors will find, like Paul, the true purpose of their lives.
